Inaugural Community Day and 24th Bike Steeplechase Happening Sat., Oct. 14
The countdown is on for our inaugural Community Day & 24th Bike Steeplechase happening rain or shine, on October 14, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. It will be a wonderful celebration at Green Lane Park, Morrow Pavilion, 2150 Green Lane Road, Green Lane, PA.
Riding Together to Serve More
All ages are welcome to participate. Spend time with neighbors, have fun with games, activities, music and food and support those who serve. Community Day is just $10 for adults and $5 for children. The Bike Steeplechase routes are 19, 35, 50 and 62 miles – register at lutherancharities.org/bike-event. Community Day is included in your $50 registration. While you bike, other family members can enjoy the day in the park!

9:30 a.m. Check-in for morning hike/ family biking
9:30 –10 a.m. Make your own trail mix
9:45 a.m. Hula Hoop contest
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Morning fun bike & hike. All ages. Various lengths available. An adult must accompany children. All bikers must wear helmets.
10:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Crafts (autumn themed) All ages. Adult supervision required.
10:30-11 a.m. Hot Chocolate, Fruit, decorate marshmallows
11 a.m. Sack Race
11:30 a.m. Silver Springs Chorus
11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Lunch is available
12 – 1 p.m pie contest. Guests get samples from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Morrow Pavilion and voting begins at 1 p.m. Prizes will be given.
12:00- 1:30 p.m: Dog-Friendly Foliage Hike- For all ages and abilities. All dogs must be on a leash and be properly vaccinated.
1:00 – 1:15 p.m: Honoring Carol Hammarberg recognition of staff, sponsors and volunteers
1:15-2 p.m: Small Pumpkin Decorating
1:30 p.m Hot Wheels racing (bring a car)
1:45-2 p.m The Hole-in-One Golf competition (with plastic clubs and balls)
2 p.m Bike Raffle Drawing and closing
Music is planned from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Tent
