  • 21st Lutheran Charities Bike Ride & Walk

    The 21st Annual Lutheran Charities Bike Ride & Walk took place on Saturday, June 25, 2011. 

    More than 180 people biked, walked, and volunteered for Lutheran Charities on a beautiful day.

    THANK YOU TO ALL BIKERS, WALKERS, AND VOLUNTEERS who helped make this event a success!

    And SPECIAL THANKS TO ST. ANDREW LUTHERAN CHURCH for hosting the Bike Ride & Walk and providing volunteers.

    This annual event benefits the Social Ministry Agencies of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod.  It includes a SteepleChase Bike Ride on roads through Montgomery and Chester counties and a Fun Ride & Walk on the Perkiomen and Schuylkill River trails.

    The agencies benefiting from the ride include Artman Lutheran Home, KenCrest Centers, Lutheran Children & Family Service, Lutheran Settlement House, Manatawny Manor, Mary J. Drexel Home, Paul’s Run Retirement Community, Silver Springs-Martin Luther School, and the Southeastern PA Synod. 

    THE TOP THREE FUNDRAISERS FOR THE BIKE RIDE WERE ROBERT BELL, CAROL FICKEN, AND LOUIS ANZALONE. CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU!
